Handle bug reports and add features to software developed by Red Hat and ensure the system is operational and computations are accurate. Design, develop, and maintain the data pipeline used to store and retrieve application data and work with architects to design and implement features related to the data pipeline.

What You Will Do:

Work to produce required analytics for customers to view and understand their cloud compute spend including developing analytics and metrics.

Work to ensure application software is well tested by writing automated tests and ensuring that code quality metrics are high and produce code coverage reports that can be used to verify test work.

Help develop metrics and performance stands such as HTTP request response times, database query times, and backend job processing times.

Work with Red Hat Product managers, architects, and management to understand customer requirements, help design, and plan schedules, and work with the team to implement these features.

Work with Product Management and stakeholders to identify gaps in both requirements and customer features and help ensure that the system is responsive to customers’ needs.

Help operate the software and deploy code to production environments, monitor operations of production code, and support the health of production code.

Monitor bug reports and support cases from customers and propose solutions to mitigate problems found by software users.

Help analyze operational metrics and propose specifications and customer interfaces based on both direct feedback and system data.

Interact with the open-source community through mailing lists, issue reports, and by providing patches.
What You Will Bring:
-
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

Must have two (2) years of experience with Python or other similar programming language.

Must have one (1) year of experience with Django or other similar Python web framework;
-
Must have one (1) year of experience with object-oriented design patterns;
-
Must have one (1) year of experience with handling customer software issues, bug reports, and escalations;

Must have one (1) year of experience with Git, Github or other version control technologies.

Must have six (6) months of experience with container software.

The salary range for this position is $90,480.00 - $144,660.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
