A Montgomery County Dermatology Office is NOW HIRING an exceptional, professional, reliable, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hard-working front desk staff to join our dynamic team. Our commitment is providing excellent, high quality customer service for our dermatologic patients while providing a positive and safe workplace environment for our employees.
Position is full time.
Candidates must have exceptional customer service skills to join our team as front desk staff.
Location
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Providing excellent patient customer service
- Follow directions and respects policies and procedures
- Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Sanitizing and cleaning respective areas as needed
- Attention to detail
- Telephone communication with patients
- Performing patient call backs
- Scheduling patients via telephone
- Engage in pleasant and clear speaking voice
- Positive attitude that shines through to our patients in person and on the phone
- Actively listen to patients, using empathy and concern
- Collect and manage patient information with respect and detail, in accordance with industry regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
- Greeting all patients in a professional manner
- Facilitating the efficient and timely entry of the patient to the office setting
- Screening patients and employees daily upon entry
- Checking patients in and out
- New patient chart set-up
- Be responsible for pulling and filing patient records
- Handing out appropriate literature and information & forms to be filled out by patient; checking for accuracy and completion
- Copying and scanning insurance ID cards and driver's licenses as well as several other general office activities related to a medical practice.
- Verifying insurances
- Processing payments
- Rooming patients at times and keeping social distancing guidelines
- Support the front office business administrators, other staff, and the Office Manager, in various operations areas and tasks.
- Always represent the dermatology clinic and its providers with friendliness and professionalism
Requirements
- All applicants must have authorization to work in the United States
- High School level education
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical computer programs and insurance policies preferred
- Must have medical front desk experience preferably in dermatology
- Proficiency in Word and Excel are required
- Type 40 wpm
- The position requires someone who is personable, dependable and responsible, with excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills
- Preference for candidates with at least 1+ year working in a clinical office or relevant experience
- Candidacy Is Favored If You Possess Experience Within The Healthcare Industry
- Candidacy Is Favored If You Possess Bi-Lingual skills (Spanish)
- Candidacy Is Favored If You have experience with EMR usage such as Modernizing Medicine (EMA)
