We are seeking a skilled IT Field Project Technician to oversee the deployment and migration of a comprehensive IT network infrastructure for our clients. This pivotal role involves hands-on tasks such as implementing and migrating physical and virtual servers, network switches, firewalls, UPS systems, wireless access points, workstations, and laptops. Additionally, the role may include managing light email and data migrations, new software installations, and infrastructure upgrades. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to implementing approved scopes, focusing on server deployment, IT site acquisition onboarding, migration, and end-user device deployment to enhance our client's technological frameworks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities*
- Deploy and migrate a wide array of IT network infrastructure components, including physical and virtual servers, network switches, firewalls, UPS systems, and wireless access points.
- Set up and configure workstations and laptops, ensuring proper integration into existing networks.
- Manage and execute email, data, and application migrations with an emphasis on minimizing disruption and maintaining high data integrity.
- Administer day-to-day operations of Microsoft 365 tenant management, alongside deploying and managing VMware/Hyper-V environments as required withing their assigned projects.
- Implement approved network configurations involving VLANs, routing, and thorough firewall administration and deployment.
- Execute project scopes efficiently and timely, primarily involving server and network infrastructure projects.
- Regularly interact with team members and clients to discuss technology implementation, project scopes, and adherence to iVenture accepted practices.
- Communicate effectively to resolve issues and ensure project alignment with client expectations.
- Experienced in Microsoft 365, VMware/Hyper-V administration, and advanced networking including VLANs and routing.
- Skilled in the migration and deployment of firewalls, with a strong grasp of on-premises and cloud Microsoft Active Directory configurations.
- Autonomous in managing IT projects, with exceptional scheduling, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Adept at implementing and managing IT solutions and infrastructure upgrades.
- Effective communicator, capable of working with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, requirements, and timelines.
As an IT Field Project Technician, you will primarily engage in the deployment and migration of IT network infrastructure, such as servers, network switches, firewalls, UPS systems, wireless access points, and the setup of workstations. Approximately 70% of your time will be devoted to these critical tasks, with the other 30% allocated to support escalations, training, and administrative responsibilities, including meetings.
Your role demands excellent time management skills, providing both flexibility and autonomy. Regular on-site visits to clients are essential, requiring a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Compliance with our non-smoking policy at all client sites and company offices is mandatory, and all successful candidates must clear criminal, employment, credit, and motor vehicle background checks to uphold our high standards of integrity and reliability.
- 70% on server/network infrastructure projects.
- 20% on supplementary tasks related to the overall project implementation.
- 5% dedicated to ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- 5% for administrative duties and meetings.
- Up to 40% local travel to client sites, up to 30% out of town travel, with the remaining time spent in the office or work from home setting.
- Effective management of a flexible schedule, ensuring availability and ownership of tasks. Flex days are provided to manage extensive work periods.
- Regular on-site visits to clients, requiring a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Adherence to company policies, including a non-smoking policy at all client sites and company offices.
