Position Title: Information Technology and Security Manager
Overview: The IT Manager will oversee the technological infrastructure of Envol Biomedical, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and securely to support the organization's objectives. Envol Biomedical is a research facility that performs studies towards the development of new medical breakthroughs with our clients. The successful candidate will ensure proper IT architecture and security, provide help-desk support to manage computer needs, work with the team to on-board and/or validate computerized systems. The candidate will oversee the data and IT security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with organizational goals. Identify emerging technologies and trends that could benefit the organization.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of all IT systems, including networks, servers, hardware, and software. Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to protect the organization's data and information systems. Stay informed about cybersecurity threats and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select external vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and service agreements to obtain the best value for the organization.
- User Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users across the organization. Ensure timely resolution of IT issues and maintain high levels of user satisfaction.
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the IT department budget. Allocate resources effectively to support ongoing operations and strategic initiatives.
- Training and Development: Keep abreast of industry developments and encourage continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in IT management or implementation, with a track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.
- Strong technical skills across a range of IT disciplines, including networking, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as ITIL or COBIT.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP) are a plus.
