Job Summary
We are looking for a
Direct Support Professional to join our team! You will be directly working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and or autism, following a one-on-one care plan in the individuals homes and or community. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets individuals needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/Autism are recommended.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as shopping in the community, budgeting, meal prep, transportation to appointments
- Maintain records of individual care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
- Build relationships with individuals by teaching functional skills
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year prior professional experience
- Driver’s license required
- Pass PA criminal background check
