Journeyman Carpenter
Swifthawk Construction is a residential construction company working primarily in west Sonoma County.
We are hiring for an upcoming project.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has the following:
1.) Rough and finish carpentry experience, an appreciation for craftsmanship. Be able to read plans and work from them.
2.) Must be able to speak English.
3.)Ability to communicate clearly in detail. You may be asked to occasionally work alongside an apprentice carpenter for certain tasks and take more of a lead role.
4.) Some of their own tools - the basics - tool bags, hand tools, drill set, circular saw. We provide all other tools needed.
5.) Reliable transportation, a truck with a lumber rack is a plus
6.) Humility - a positive attitude, be willing to learn, and a desire to gain new skills. Perhaps you have some skills that we can learn from as well.
7.) Reliability - Able to be reached by phone, show a commitment to the job, follow through on what you say you will do.
8.) Someone who is relaxed, yet takes the job seriously. We want to enjoy working together in a positive work environment.
9.) Show up on time and be willing to work hard all day
Pay depends on experience, but journeyman level with a work truck $45 / hr. Full time position August - November. If it feels like a fit, we will discuss continuing to work together. If you show a commitment to the job there may be room to grow into positions of more responsibility with less oversight needed. Over time, pay can increase, but you have to earn it.
If this interests you, please reach out and tell us a little about yourself and why you think you might be a fit.
Thank you
