Our client, a leading automotive company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team.
The position is an onsite position where you would be expected to work on site in Arlington, TX.
The role of a Plant Maintenance, Electrician, Technician, and Trainee is to participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities.
The main missions of the roles are to:
- Install, repair and maintain all equipment's and facilities
- Perform minor repairs to building fixtures, perform minor plumbing repairs, clean electrical fixtures, replace bulbs and do painting
- Analyse mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality
- Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime
- Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records
- Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions for all facilities and process efficiency
- Give advice on technical specifications of a new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, Health, Safety and Environment and maintainability requirements are met
- Participate in the management of the inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime
- Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance
- Train operators on the safe operation of production equipment
- Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policy
- Adhere to all work rules and procedures

Job Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:
- Technical diploma and/or journey man card
- Perform tasks of substantial variety/complexity which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment
- Electrical wiring and mechanical skills
- Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety and Environmental skills
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Satisfactory company work record, including attendance
- Successful completion of Faurecia’s in-house training program
- Ability to follow instruction verbal and written - good math, language and reading skills required
- Good communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate with employees of all levels
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner
- Level 1 can perform maintenance, electrician, and electronics technician duties
- Level 2 can perform maintenance and electrician duties only or electrician and electronics technician duties only
- Level 3 can perform maintenance duties only or electrician duties only
- Level 4 Trainee must pass standardized test and do on job training in order of maintenance skillset, electrician skillset, technician skillset, and complete 4-year apprentice period.
Physical Requirements:
- Job involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and exerts 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping and bending

- Work involves considerable bending and twisting
- Able and willing to work overtime when required – up to 12 hours a day / 7 days a week
Safety / Hazards:
- Steel toed shoes required in production area at all times due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts and product
- ANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required in production area due to dust, oils and debris
- Kevlar sleeves required in production area due to potential lacerations
- May be Exposed to flying objects such as weld slag and sparks
- May be exposed to weld fumes and dust
- Exposed to moderate burns, cuts and bruises
- Exposed to significant temperature changes in the facility – (heat in the summer / cold in the winter)
