This is a full-time, on-site role. The Sanitation Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe food manufacturing environment. This includes developing and implementing sanitation protocols, conducting regular inspections, training employees on proper sanitation practices, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
What You'll Do:

Oversee daily operations of the sanitation department

Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals

Ensure the safe operation of the sanitation shift

Train associates in safe and proper housekeeping and sanitation procedures

Ensure associates follow established cleaning procedures as required by the company and regulatory agencies

Inventory ordering, receiving and storage allocation of general plant and sanitation related products

Foster effective communication with other departments to ensure business needs are met

What We Need from You:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
-
Strong leadership and team management skills
-
Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) preferred.

Strong working knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and MSS
-
Experience in quality assurance and food safety
-
Knowledge of quality auditing, food safety and food quality standards (SQF) a plus

Ability to develop and implement sanitation procedures

Experience in training employees on proper sanitation practices

Familiarity with food safety regulations

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent organizational and communication skills
-
Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Experience in the food manufacturing industry required

Proven expertise in use of industrial cleaning chemicals, titration ratios, record keeping, chemical storage, safety data, and Hazmat measures and management

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Be able to stand for at least an eight to twelve (8-12) hour period.

Be able to lift, carry, handle and grasp at least 35 lbs. (Constantly).

Be able to lift, carry, handle and grasp at least 50 lbs. (Occasionally).
- Be able to push and pull a wheeled pallet jack or rack to move items weighing up to 400 lbs.

Be able to lift to 50 lbs. from floor to waist up to 50 lbs. (Occasionally)

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high and will include, but not be limited to, production machinery, computers, printers, telephones, and normal communication. Hearing protection will be required for all in plant activities.

Must be willing to work under various temperatures ranging from typical 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
