Position Description:
Coldwater Gardens is looking for a full-time Housekeeper. As a member of our Housekeeping team, you will make sure our accommodations are cleaned to the highest standard to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests. You must be able to stay on task and work efficiently. This position is suited to someone interested in building their skills and experience through a range of cleaning tasks at a diversified campground, wedding/event venue, and eco-resort operation. If you have a knack for impeccable cleanliness or have work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help us create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.
Housekeeper Duties & Responsibilities:
- Efficiently perform cleaning duties in all guest areas and accommodations
- Accomplish cleaning duties in different environments.
- Min to moderate lifting
- Using cleaning products in a safe and effective manner
- Offering professional, friendly, and engaging customer/coworker service
- Ensuring ALL housekeeping standards are followed
- Responding to guests’ special requests in a timely and respectful manner
- Keeping track of inventory for necessary supplies
- Reporting necessary maintenance items
- Following all safety and sanitation policies
- Assisting coworkers when needed to ensure optimum service to guests

Minimum Requirements:
- Service/hotel industry experience is preferred
- Punctuality and reliable transportation are required
- Detail oriented with the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
- Able to utilize daily/weekly task lists and prioritize tasks with ease

- Much of the work takes place outdoors in all kinds of weather (the heat of summer and the cold of winter) and is physical in nature. Work hours are generally long, and weekend work is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, bending, stooping repeatedly, and lifting up to 40 lbs often.
- Hours and schedule will vary based on need. Weekends, holidays, and spring/summer/fall breaks are our busiest times. You must be flexible and able to work when most people are vacationing. Duties will most often be performed between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
- Year round work will be available depending on review and evaluation of your performance, at the discretion of the management team.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage depends on experience level
- Number of hours will be based on need - most likely a minimum of 20 hours per week
