Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will prepare and maintain the financial records of the Organization ensuring financial integrity, accurate reporting, and management of financial data by adhering to accounting principles and verifying that all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will manage various aspects of financial data, including but not limited to, accounts payable and receivable, tax compliance, and budget preparation. The goal is to ensure that the organization’s financial information is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. This position requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of financial concepts and practices.
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate month-end close and quarter close activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements including a Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts including all Cash accounts, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Customer Deposits.
- Maintain the general ledger and review monthly for mis- postings.
- Reconcile payroll postings to payroll reports.
- Project setup and maintenance of all jobs in ERP financial system.
- Update Work in Process schedules including allocation of material and labor costs.
- Approve and post cash receipts to customer receivables.
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenues.
- Initiate action with project teams to acquire any missing owner change order documentation.
- Receive, review and approve all completed project closeout packages and notify appropriate individuals.
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Provide assistance to external CPA firm; gather necessary account information and documents to prepare annual income tax return.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or relevant related experience
- Project costing/Work in Process accounting experience, such as used in the construction industry).
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, energized, self-starter environment.
- Detail orientated, organized, excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Well versed with Excel and other data analysis software.
- Experience with integrated data management systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) preferred.
- Conversant in foreign currency transactions. Must be able to convert multiple currencies.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
