The Multimedia and Communications Specialist will serve as a pivotal link between the Marketing and Human Resources departments, leveraging your creative talents and communication skills to enhance our brand presence and engage both internal and external audiences. By combining multimedia production expertise with strategic communication capabilities, you will play a vital role in promoting our community to prospective residents and fostering a positive and informed environment for current staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of trends in the industry, changes in technology and media, and economic conditions through involvement in professional peer organizations and attending educational workshops and conferences.
- Conceptualize, produce, and edit multimedia content, including videos, animations, infographics, and virtual tours, to showcase the unique lifestyle and amenities offered by our community.
- Ensure consistent branding across all multimedia platforms and communication channels, aligning messaging with the organization's values and objectives
- Craft compelling narratives and visual stories that resonate with target audiences, including prospective residents, families, employees, and community stakeholders.
- Create engaging multimedia content for internal newsletters, digital signage, staff meetings, and training sessions to enhance employee morale and foster a sense of community.
- Work with the Marketing team to execute external communication campaigns, including social media posts, email newsletters, press releases, and website updates, to attract prospective residents and showcase community events and activities.
- Oversee the development and production of all promotional literature ensuring that collateral material is kept up-to-date.
- Serve as a resource to the Marketing and Administrative team for planning and coordinating special events.
- Maintain and update the prospect database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information to support marketing and sales efforts. Utilize database insights to tailor communication strategies and effectively nurture relationships with potential residents.
- Regularly update and maintain the organization’s website, ensure content is current, relevant, and reflective of our community’s offerings and events. Optimize website functionality and user experience, working with IT and design teams to implement improvements as needed.
- Cross train with Director of Admissions to include the following responsibilities: maintaining the internal and external wait list, extending home offers and renovation selections, facilitating contract signings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in multimedia production or communications strongly preferred.
- Experience working with seniors in a care setting is essential. Has ability to maintain patience, poise, dignity and a pleasant disposition in daily contacts with older adults.
- Proficiency with multimedia editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Has excellent computer skills and familiarity with computer technologies and software.
- Strong written storytelling skills with the ability to convey complex messages in a clear and engaging manner.
- Ability to maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with prospective residents, Board of Directors, residents and employees.
- Ability to develop a good working knowledge of the Gardens, its admissions and HR policies and procedures.
