Current Need
Support development of pricing models and strategies that align with business objectives and maximize profitability. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pricing and Purchasing Analyst to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in analyzing pricing strategies, assessing market trends, and identifying opportunities to optimize purchasing decisions. The ideal candidate should possess strong data and analytics experience, as well as a deep understanding of pricing and purchasing dynamics within the pharmaceutical distribution industry. The Senior Pricing and Purchasing Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive profitability and improve overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities

Utilize data analytics techniques to generate insights and recommendations for improving pricing and purchasing processes.

Support development of pricing models and strategies that align with business objectives and maximize profitability.

Collaborate with internal pricing and purchasing team, sales, sourcing and finance teams to evaluate pricing and purchasing requests / opportunities and recommend appropriate pricing adjustments.

Analyze customer behavior, sales data, and market research to identify customer segments and tailor pricing strategies accordingly.

Analyze purchasing data and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.

Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that impact pricing and purchasing decisions.

Present findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
Critical Skills

4+ years previous pricing and purchasing knowledge and experience a must.

Proven experience as a Pricing Analyst, Purchasing Analyst, or in a similar role with a focus on data analysis and analytics.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).

Solid understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

Experience with pricing optimization techniques, value-based pricing, and cost analysis.

Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and matrixed environment.

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation is a plus.
Additional Skills

Primary pharmaceutical distribution experience highly encouraged. Secondary pharmaceutical distribution experience considered significant advantage.

Profitability modeling experience.

Understand impacts to financial statements from pricing and purchasing dynamics.

Excellent Financial modeling skills with attention to detail.

Ability to communicate with leaders across multiple functions to make strong business decisions.

Extremely flexible, highly organized, and demonstrated ability to balance multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Experience with SAP, SQL and Tableau, PBI, Oracle a plus.
