ARTSAVE, Inc is a federal and state recognized 501c3, and a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to addressing gun violence through innovative art therapy programs for youth aged 18-24. Our mission is to create a safer, healthier community by providing young people with creative outlets and therapeutic support to overcome trauma and build resilience. We offer Guided Pathways to Success (GPS Tracks) to help our participants navigate their personal and professional journeys.
Position Overview
ARTSAVE is seeking a passionate and skilled Grant Writer to join our team on a flexible, project-based basis. This position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely and get compensated upon the successful acquisition of grants. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to our mission, excellent writing skills, and the ability to effectively communicate our vision to potential funders.
Responsibilities
Grant Research: Identify and research potential grant opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
Proposal Writing: Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals that align with ARTSAVE’s mission and goals.
Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications.
Reporting: Prepare and submit progress and final reports for funded projects as required by grantors.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders to ensure ongoing support and funding opportunities.
Compliance: Ensure all grant applications and reports comply with funder requirements and guidelines.
Qualifications
Experience: Open to all levels, including new graduates and seasoned professionals. Previous grant writing experience is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong research and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Knowledge: Understanding of non-profit sector and grant processes. Familiarity with issues related to gun violence and art therapy is preferred but not required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Social Work, Non-Profit Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
