VP, Regional Manager - Professional Liability
Major Responsibilities:
Profit and revenue growth for Professional Liability.
Manage regional underwriting team.
Work closely with Business Development Managers, Branch Managers, and Global Client Executives to achieve new business goals and high renewal retention levels.
Build strong relationships with distribution partners and clients.
Work on large and complex accounts
Ensure the region maintains a high level of underwriting discipline by conducting audits, delegating appropriate levels of underwriting authority, and providing training to the underwriting team.
Responsible for monthly/quarterly forecasting and annual planning.
Work closely with various support functions (Home Office Underwriting, Claims, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Actuarial) within Professional Liability
Lead weekly team production meetings and participate in branch and regional management meetings.
Qualifications:
Experience with multiple lines of insurance; Professional Liability and/or Cyber strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 -10 Years underwriting experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively interact at all levels with both internal and external business partner
Strong analytical skills with experience in evaluating large/complex underwriting risks
Experience with broker relations and customer management
Ability to work within a dynamic and challenging environment – handle multiple priorities - often under tight deadlines
Travel within the region and to the home office as needed.
