Seeking a full-time Compliance Nurse Manager for a multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center in Houston, Texas. This position is responsible for all duties that relate to maintaining AAAHC accreditation and compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise policies and procedures, as needed, with the stated goals and objectives of the Surgery Center, under the approval of the Medical Director and Leadership Team.
- Establish, maintain, and evaluate standards of nursing care within the Surgery Center in compliance with professional nursing standards and recommended perioperative procedures, including quality control studies within the operating room, pre-operative area and PACU to improve services of these departments.
- Implement best practice standards and environment safety practices; Make action plans to ensure proper functioning of Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Infection Control areas of the Surgery Center and personnel.
- Maintain accurate logs and report discrepancies to appropriate authority for compliance.
- Ensure all documentation meets criteria dictated by legal practice, state and federal health standards.
- Maintain maintenance contracts, and schedule routine and emergency maintenance on all equipment under contract, as needed.
- Coordinate compliance with fire and safety regulations and maintain records.
- Promote a good working relationship between the OR, Pre-Op, Recovery and Business Personnel, with the Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and other Supervisors/Managers to maintain a positive patient care atmosphere.
- Other related job duties, as assigned or requested.
Education and Experience:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 3 years of direst working experience in compliance and quality programs in a Surgery Center
- Experience in management/supervising.
- Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of surgical nursing.
- Current ACLS certification.
