Glenmaura Senior Living is looking for a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) who is eager to join a new team at our 100-bed facility. We are looking for someone with previous experience, and reliable work history.
JOB SUMMARY:
SHIFT TIME: evenings 2-pm -10:30 pm, Every other weekend/ holiday
Candidates wishing to be considered for the Personal Care Assistant or Resident Assistant position should know prior experience working as a PCA in a Healthcare setting is preferred. This is a wonderful opportunity, with great benefits and a chance to grow with the company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Personal Care Assistants will provide direct Nursing care to Residents in accordance with their Individualized Care Plans.
- Responds to Resident’s calls promptly, satisfying their needs, or referring their requests to appropriate Personnel.
- Assist Residents with Daily living activities
- PCA's will assist Residents with personal hygiene.
- Assist Residents with dressing, undressing, feeding, and other activities as needed.
- Assist other Nurses/Nursing Team Members as needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment, communicating any hazardous areas/potential safety hazards to appropriate parties.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned to the Resident Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience working as a PCA.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team atmosphere is a must.
- Must be able to lift up to 50LBS.
