JOB TITLE: Amusement Ride Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY:
The Position of the Ride Maintenance Technician is important to the success of The Funplex and plays an active role in providing an excellent experience to our guests. This position is responsible for all preventative maintenance, diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, repairs and part replacements, and proper documentation of all rides, attractions, and equipment on the property. The ideal applicant demonstrates superior knowledge in required areas, maintains an excellent work ethic, and can learn and follow directions from management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain all rides, attractions, and equipment through proper inspections and preventative maintenance lists.
· Test run and analyze routine performance of all rides and attractions to ensure proper function.
· Diagnose malfunctions and perform troubleshooting to minimize down time on all attractions.
· Keep detailed and current paperwork for all work logs, and inspection sign offs for all attractions.
· Disassemble and reassemble rides, properly prepare, and store seasonal parts.
· Demonstrate excellent guest services through compliance of company policies and appropriate interaction with visitors.
· Facilitate state inspections and keep all attractions current on federal, state, and local safety codes.
· Follow instructions, schedules, and work plans set by superiors to ensure timeliness of work and readiness for seasonal schedules.
· Follow budget restrictions to maintain affordability of each attraction.
Work with vendors to attain competitive pricing, quotes, purchase parts, and maintain appropriate shipping and receiving of maintenance orders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Communication – Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
· Experience in one or more of the following: auto mechanics, basic electric, pneumatics, hydraulics, ride mechanics, welding, engine mechanics or similar background.
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders or ride towers, operate forklift and other machinery, perform other physical maneuvers such as bend, twist, pull, push, reach and stoop.
· Leadership – Ability to lead people and maintain a visible leadership role in appropriate credibility throughout the organization, management, and employees.
· Decisiveness – Ability to handle detailed and complex problems and make timely decisions.
· Self-Motivation/Initiative – Demonstrates ability to take initiative and executes to accomplish strategic objectives.
· Must work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays etc. Work 40+ hours, 5 days/week, rotating schedule based on season. Hourly position.
· Reports to: Director of Operations
· Salary: $27.00-$30.00 an hour based on experience
· Uniform Dress Code: Professional appearance, logo staff shirt, slacks, no jeans, boots
