Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage EV infrastructure projects for our public utility client in the San Francisco Bay area. As a key member of the team, the Project Manager will oversee projects with a focus on managing both “to the meter” and “behind-the-meter” infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate project schedules, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and drive successful project delivery. Responsibilities:
- Oversees design activities and key deliverables performed by sub-contractor design teams.

Develops project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

Works with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and vendors to define requirements, assess risks, and present solutions to challenges.

Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and permitting requirements.

Coordinates with regulatory agencies and obtains necessary permits and approvals for project activities.

Leads and manages project teams, including engineers, designers, contractors, and subcontractors.

Assigns tasks, sets priorities, and monitors progress to ensure project milestones are met.

Prepares reports and forecasts for stakeholders and senior management.

Identifies, monitors, and assesses project risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Maintains regular communication with clients, providing updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues or concerns.

Develops and maintains accurate documentation, including program procedural documents and project specific documentation such as contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.

Documents lessons learned and best practices for future reference and continuous improvement.

Evaluates project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and project objectives.

Identifies opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Construction Management or equivalent field; equivalent experience with customer approval

Minimum of 5 years directly related work experience managing technical and/or civil construction projects.

Familiarity with California utility design practices and standards

Experience with SAP and Salesforce

Demonstrated experience and application of comprehensive Project Management processes and principles

Must be able to proactively assess overall project risks related to scope, schedule and cost impacts and present risk mitigation or resolution options

Must have strong reasoning ability and analytical skills to examine complex problems and propose innovative solutions.

Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills

Ability to provide guidance and mentoring support to other Project Management team members.

Must be able to build solid business cases/project justifications.

Occasional fielding required.
Salary Range: $114,400 – 187,200
Work Environment: remote with occasional client visits and fielding.

Travel: 10%
Physical Requirements: The ability to move about on foot, covering various terrains within construction sites and the ability to remain upright without moving about, which is often necessary during installation tasks.
