Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to oversee and manage the logistics operations of our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of offshore facility decommissioning functions through the structure removal life cycle from takeover to site clearance,
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring all materials and logistics activities comply with Company, Client and project requirements, this includes trucking, marine, & aviation cargo related activities, such as the Company Waste Management Plan, state and federal regulations, local waste regulation requirements, etc.
- Responsible for NORM management plans across Project Boomerang
- Responsible for collaborating with the Facilities Superintendent in chartering / contracting of all logistics service requirements, be they by means of air, sea or land, and the input of any technical revue that may be associated with same.
- Responsible for developing and participating in bid normalizations within the Facilities Operations Group.
- Support the offshore facilities Offshore Project Managers, Clerks and Dispatchers in inventory tracking, vendor interfacing, procurement group interfacing, etc.
- Support offshore Clerks and Dispatchers with coordinating logistical activities between field areas to include equipment and material tracking, sourcing, transportation, in support of Facilities Superintendent and Offshore Project Managers.
- Interacting with vendors on behalf of the project team.
- Supporting of the incident management plan for Project Boomerang including emergency evacuation plan, spill response.
- Responsible for ensuring, where possible, that a sufficient level of long-term strategic planning, medium term campaign planning and near-term daily planning, is conducted in relation to the materials and logistics support being provided to the operation.
- Ensure suitable materials and logistics records are maintained to support cost control of the project
Deliverables:
- Provide support and guidance on any issues associated with the materials and logistics requirements to prevent a negative impact on the environment or the safety of personnel & equipment.
- Focal point between offshore management and onshore management groups for any materials and logistics requirements necessary within the project.
- Provide support and assist Clerks, Offshore Project Managers on air, marine and land logistics requirements.
- Provide support for and guidance on any materials control requirements.
- Provide guidance and manage any materials and logistics planning issues relating to the project.
- Support Clerks, Offshore Project Managers with daily operational logistics requirements.
- Manage and ensure compliance of the offshore generated waste stream.
- Support the generation of cost estimates, AFE’s and cost tracking during the course of the project.
- Responsible for ensuring the generation of Purchase Requisitions associated with the logistics and materials control for the project.
- Attend operational and planning meetings where support of Materials and Logistics discipline is required.
- Focal point for any external parties, such as Client or 3rd party service providers that may seek guidance on issues relating to their interface with our existing materials and logistics processes.
- Develop and maintain all logistics and materials policies and procedures and the ongoing monitoring of compliance on the same.
- Provide assistance in drafting and reviewing Master Service Agreements and Master Time Charters related air, sea, and land logistics.
- Contribute & Support Cost Busters, Lessons Learned and our Service Quality Management Systems in Veris.
- Participate risk reviews and support the documentation as required by the project.
- Participate in Client project meetings and weekly reporting requirements.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Experience planning and maintaining budgets.
- Ability to understand and decipher structural drawings.
- Knowledge of abandonment activities
- Knowledge of structural decommissioning & removal activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional leadership experience
- College degree
- 10-year experience in related role
- Risk management and ability to work in this
Skills & Competencies
- Experience with related industry codes and standards applicable to upstream Oil & Gas operations (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME Section 8, Div 1 Pressure Vessel Code, etc.)
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Competency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and SharePoint)
