Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is unique in that it combines responsibilities across Accounts Receivable (AR), general accounting, and human resources functions. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing the full cycle of AR, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting HR operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, familiarity with HR processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Receivable:
- Process and manage incoming payments, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices, statements, and credit memos.
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare AR aging reports and present findings to management.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address billing issues.
2. General Accounting:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Assist with the audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
3. Human Resources Functions:
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
- Maintain employee records, including personal information, job history, and payroll data.
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job ads, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing employment documents and conducting orientation sessions.
- Coordinate employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to AR and HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
