Salary: No less than $17.15 per hour based on verifiable similar experience per the negotiated PASS Agreement
- Paraprofessionals assigned to Specialized programs are eligible to be awarded multiple additional stipends each semester (must work minimum of 70 days per semester)

Hours:
- Full Time: 7 hours per day, 9 months

Job Summary:
Special Education Paraprofessionals play a vital role in supporting the academic and behavioral needs of our students as directed by Special Education and Certified Teachers. The Special Education Paraprofessional is responsible for providing services and supports to the instructional program with specific responsibility for
- Assisting the Teacher in a variety of instructional tasks within a self-contained setting and a general educational setting.
- Providing support to students with disabilities within the classroom and around the educational building.
- Assisting students with communication, scheduling, problem solving and modifications of curriculum.
- Adapting classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives
- Implementing behavioral plans designed by the IEP team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts

Qualifications:
- One of the following State of Illinois Licenses registered in Will County: Paraprofessional (ELS(PARA)), Substitute (SUB), or Professional Educator License (PEL)
- College transcripts with 60+ credit hours or have passed the WorkKeys Assessment
