Responsibilities
The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager and Practice Administrator in managing, coordinating and educating multiple members of the care team regarding best practices, regulatory requirements, and clinical work-flows. Duties include, but are not limited to, mentoring, evaluating, educating, scheduling and, if necessary, counseling the nursing staff. This role also provides educational support for all care team activities.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current, unrestricted, licensure in the State of New York as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing as a Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations and practices to give and evaluate patient care
- Knowledge or Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Ability to work independently within scope of practice, make appropriate clinical decisions and delegate appropriately
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification (P) (Required for offices with active GI suites)
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to analyze problems and recommend and deploy strategies to improve performance in collaboration with the leadership team.

Union roles covered by a collective bargaining agreement will compensate in accordance with the union contract.
