Job Description
- Diagnose, treat and medically manage work-related injuries and illnesses for Bath Iron Works employees.
- Collaborate with on-site medical, nursing and workers' compensation personnel, management and outside providers concerning work-related injury case management, return to work and fitness for duty concerns.
- Perform routine medical surveillance physical examination and case review for a variety of programs, i.e., exposures from asbestos, heavy metals, various environmental toxins and noise; DOT; fire brigade and other programs.
- Supervise the BIW clinical staff.
- Works within current nurse practice act of the State of Maine.
- Minimal on-call required.
- No holidays or weekends.
- 4x10 weekday work schedule.
Required/Preferred Education/Training
- Master's degree in nursing required.
- Certified nurse practitioner required.
- Current State of Maine APN license required.
Required/Preferred Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a nurse practitioner in either family or adult practice required, occupational experience preferred.
- Managerial experience required.
- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
- Occupational health experience is highly desirable.
- Must be able to maneuver through the Shipyard.
- Must be able to participate in Sea Trials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
