Experience and abilities you will need:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree and at least 4 years of related experience required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
What you will do:
Support the plant in all areas of engineering from the development, design, installation and maintenance of all equipment both new and current. Research and analyze customer and vendor design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data and maintenance requirements and evaluate the feasibility, cost of design and equipment. Support and assist in installation, operation and maintenance and repair of all plant equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Computer Automated Design (CAD) skills required, MS Office skill required, Other programs as needed
- Manage and implement Plant CAPEX operations, track/forecast cost, implementation schedules and supply of materials required for successful project implementation.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports and maintain accurate and current records and documents.
- Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, maintenance requirements and evaluate the feasibility, and cost of designs or applications.
- Specify system components or direct modifications of products to ensure conformance and engineering design and performance specifications.
- Research, design, evaluate engineered products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
- Develop and test alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and modifications.
- Establish and keep current SAP Bill of Materials for new installations, create work instruction for safe operation of new equipment.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to make recommendations to maintenance team.
- Monitor and support installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Ensure that all MSHA regulations are followed and that all safety requirements are established and maintained throughout the plant and on-going projects.
- Support and coordinate all CI projects and ideas as needed to implement ideas.
- Other duties as assigned.
