Position: Lead (Day Shift)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (5:00am to 2:30pm) *Weekends if needed*
Location: 5088 W Innovation Circle, Phoenix, AZ
Reports to: Supervisor
GENERAL PURPOSE
As the Janitor Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations and maintaining cleanliness standards within the assigned facilities. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, you will coordinate and supervise a team of janitorial staff to ensure efficient and effective execution of cleaning tasks. Your role will involve both hands-on cleaning duties and administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, training, and inspecting work to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of janitorial staff, including assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed on schedule.
- Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to team members, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
2. Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Perform cleaning duties as necessary, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and equipment maintenance.
3. Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Address deficiencies promptly and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
4. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures and protocols.
5. Communication and Reporting:
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Supervisor for resolution.
- Maintain open communication with the Supervisor and other departments as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position: must be detail oriented and a team player.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with team members and management.

Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook. PowerPoint).
