JOB TITLE: MASTERS LEVEL SUBSTANCE ABUSE CLINICIAN
REPORTS TO: Clinical Director
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provide individual and group counseling to clients who suffer from or have been affected by addiction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* .
* Provide leadership and consultation to staff collaborating with mental health agencies.
* Assure compliance with clinical aspects of documentation.
* Participate in weekly management meetings.
* Assist clinical staff with crisis intervention if necessary.
* Commit to the prevision of cultural competent service.
* Comply with mandatory reporting laws, mandatory incident reporting.
*Follow ethical practice guidelines.
* Perform other related task and duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
REQIREMENTS:
* Master’s Degree.
* Working knowledge of 12 Step Programs
* Experience working in addictions.
* Must be able to demonstrate cultural competence.
* Knowledge of Federal, state and local laws governing substance abuse and mental health services.
* Must meet Massachusetts CORI requirements
DESIRED SKILLS:
* Previous experience working is outpatient substance abuse treatment program.
* Have relationships with mental health/substance abuse providers in greater Boston
*Experience working with transitional age youth with SUD’s.
SCHEDULE:
Varies daily Monday through Friday. NO weekends. No on call
