Job Overview:
NorCal Harvesting LLC is currently looking to fill a full-time permanent and temporary Payroll Clerks. We are seeking detail-oriented Payroll Clerks to join our team. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for manual time entry, assisting in editing and exporting payroll and conducting daily reconciliations. Position works closely with assigned harvesting crews to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. Bilingual in Spanish is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process payroll weekly for assigned harvesting crews accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and distribute employee checks to assigned Field Supervisors.
- Download probes for assigned harvesting crews daily.
- Record manual time of hours worked daily, review timesheets for Field Supervisors, Foremen, Checkers, Loaders etc. and ensure meals and breaks are provided and recorded as mandated by law. Check for overtime. Work with Payroll Specialist(s) in obtaining any necessary information for coding and data entry.
- Conduct daily reconciliations.
- Respond to inquiries from Field Supervisors on a timely manner.
- Verify timekeeping records and consult Field Supervisors about any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports
- Collaborate with the HR department to resolve payroll-related issues
- Perform other payroll duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s Degree is highly desirable or equivalent related work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of arithmetic principles including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish required with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Human Resources processes related to payroll.
- Familiarity with payroll software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

- Comprehend, interpret and apply policies, rules, regulations and detailed procedures.
- Locate and verify information and use resource materials.
- Review work for accuracy and procedural conformance.
- Prepare reports, keep detailed and difficult records.
- Verbally communicate information clearly and concisely to others.
- Organize and prioritize work; handle a high volume of transactions daily.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted through the course of work.
- Operate office software and equipment such as a personal computer, copier, and printer.
- Understand and follow oral and written instruction.
- Work well both independently and with a team.
- Work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
