Essential Functions
- Coding approved invoices for Jefferson Comprehensive Care System, Inc. with general ledger account numbers and vendor numbers daily.
- Entering coded invoices into the computer daily.
- Updating invoices in the computer files
- Printing cash requirements reports and submitting to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Delivering the prepared checks to the Board appointed check signers.
- Mailing signed checks each Friday.
- Preparing and distributing accounts payable reports as instructed in the Accounts Payable Procedural Manual.
- Maintaining a permanent file on the following reports:
Vendor Aged Report
Approved Invoice Edit Lists
Cash Requirements Reports
Monthly Invoice History Report
Check Register
Monthly Check History Report
- Preparing accounts payable checks for Jefferson Comprehensive Care System, Inc.
- Maintain all Accounts Payable files.
- Preparing annual Forms 1099 for cash disbursements made during the calendar year.
- Preparing a monthly list for the Chief Financial Officer for all capital items purchased that month.
- Any other essential functions as determined by the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications represent the organization in a highly professional manner at all times.
- Upholds and ensures compliance and attention to all system policies and procedures, mandatory system training as well as the overall mission and values of the organization.
Position Requirements
Education
- High school diploma and two years of experience in related activities or actual experience in bookkeeping.
- Preference given for those applicants who have had a formal business school training in the area of bookkeeping and accounting.
Experience
- Strong work ethics and team player.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft and data entry.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Trustworthy and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.

- -Working conditions shall comply with the requirements of the Fair Labor Standard Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Normal work 40 hours per week / 5 days per week as a full-time employee.
