We are looking for a responsible Jewelry Assistant to perform a variety of tasks including photography, jewelry classification, inventory input, and other administrative assistant tasks. Duties of the Jewelry Assistant include cataloging jewelry using inventory sheets as well as prior knowledge and simple descriptive additions. This will include typing, photographing jewelry, and other items to be sold at auction. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work and stay on task. If you have previous experience in the jewelry industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Jewelry Assistant should be punctual and have a great attention for detail.
Responsibilities
- Take in jewelry consignments
- Photograph jewelry and other merchandise for sale
- Inputting information into computer program
- Attention to detail
- Maintain Inventory Lists
- Provide general support to customers
- Occasionally dealing with customers and answering phone calls
Skills
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
- Computer and Typing Skills
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- High School degree; additional qualification with jewelry experience would be ideal
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week
