Cashiers are responsible to support our customers at the front-end checkouts, perform store greeter duties, receipt checker duties and help maintain our sales floor cleanliness and organization. This position will also perform other miscellaneous duties as needed by the manager and/or supervisor during their scheduled shift.
The Cashier/Customer Service position is considered to be one of our lineworker positions and is assigned to Front End Duty. The other area assignments in the store are: Production Duty, Sales Floor Duty or Loading Dock Duty.
Our business model requires employees to be cross-trained in different areas of work so the store's labor demands can be met each day. The multi-tasking aspect of the lineworker position is necessary and will require employees to shift their job duties on any given day in order to meet the daily business demands.
All employees MUST be flexible and ready to work wherever needed by the manager and/or supervisor. All employees are expected to perform at or above the company’s minimum performance standards for each job they are trained to do.
This is a full-time position (40+ hours weekly) in a retail thrift store plus benefits after 90 days. The typical front end schedule is 12:30PM to 9:00PM. Based on the needs of the business some overtime may be required and the scheduled days for this position may vary from week to week.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk, bend and stand on your feet all day.
Employees must have dependable transportation each day because we count on our employees to work their scheduled shift.
Must have two valid forms of ID. Acceptable forms of identification are: State issue ID, USA Passport, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate and Permanent Resident Card.
