Job Summary
The Host is responsible for greeting guests as they arrive and seating them at their table. This includes ensuring that every guest has everything they need throughout the course of their visit.
Responsibilities are under the direct supervision of the Restaurant Supervisor and/or the Restaurant Manager.
Qualification Standards
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of customer service experience required.
- At least one year of progressive experience in a resort, restaurant or related field preferred.
- Experience using POS systems, such as Aloha POS, preferred.
- Must possess a professional presentation.
- Must be bilingual (Spanish & English).
Physical Requirements:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
Duties & Functions: Essential
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or rooms.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials.
- Assist guests with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests.
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized host station.
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
