Position: Assistant Principal/Director of Student Services
Qualifications: M.A. or M.S. from an accredited college or university. Principal Certification.
Relationship: Reports directly to and is supervised by the Principal. Works in conjunction with the Clinical Director (if one is at the school).
Responsibilities: The Assistant Principal has various responsibilities in the areas of student records, curriculum, student discipline, and other duties as assigned by the Principal.
General Duties:
1. Develops in-service programs to improve the quality of student instruction.
2. Assists the Principal in the evaluation of staff and programs.
3. Assumes the principal’s position/responsibilities when the principal is not in the building.
Student Records:
1. Assists the Principal in setting up procedures for the collection of required data and the production of student records; including but not limited to quarterly report cards, semi-annual educational progress reports, weekly ratings and special ratings reports, and attendance data reports.
2. Develops and oversees production of other forms and student lists as needed and/or requested; such as class lists, class/group or individual schedules for students, reward trip lists, transcripts, etc.
Scheduling:
1. Assists the Principal with development and publishing overall students’ school day schedules.
2. Designs, implements and publishes any other calendars or schedules as may be needed, at the request of the Principal.
Other:
1. Performs such other duties as may be designated by the Executive Director/Superintendent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
