Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with various needs, including those with disabilities, elderly individuals, or individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities: - Assist individuals with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation - Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals - Administer medications and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans - Assist with household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping - Accompany individuals to medical appointments or social outings - Implement behavior support plans and provide guidance in managing challenging behaviors - Document individual progress and report any concerns or changes in condition to appropriate personnel - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional education or certification) - Previous experience in caregiving or related field is preferred - Knowledge of systems and procedures related to direct care services - Ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) for individuals who require assistance - Experience in hospice care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus - Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy - Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist individuals with mobility limitations - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for the position) We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career advancement within our organization.
