Education and Certifications
- Education Minimum: Associate degree
- Two years’ direct industry experience and three years’ regulatory experience preferred. Experience in civil or environmental engineering will help the applicant.
- Related licensure (NPDES certification, SWPPP Preparer, Certified Inspector, etc.) and certification will result in higher pay.
- Experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with design or PDF editing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam).
Primary Responsibilities
This position coordinates and completes all permitting and plan design activities for environmental regulations, with a focus on the Clean Water Act’s NPDES regulations.
This position prepares stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) per applicable state or federal permit requirements, under the direction of engineering and compliance staff. This position handles the prompt and correct completion of all required regulatory documentation. This position may take part in developing and hosting customer training for regulatory compliance.
Finally, this position performs NPDES inspection duties as needed by the company.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
1. Able to manage multiple tasks in a high volume and fast – paced environment.
2. Able to use a computer, a calculator, write, and use the phone.
3. Available to work off hours when necessary. Primary office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
4. Must possess a valid and appropriate driver’s license and have reliable work transportation.
5. Work may require extended periods of sitting and computer use. Note, computer use will require viewing a computer screen for various periods of time.
6. Able to lift 20 pounds.
7. May be required to travel up to 20% of working hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
