Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Technician I to join our team. As a Quality Technician I, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through various testing and inspection processes. Your expertise in quality management and assurance will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Your responsibility is to tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process, and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products to ensure our products meet all customer specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Ø Follow written or verbal instructions and identify specifications to be applied.
Ø Develop and complete First Article Inspection reports, including measurement of parts and production approval.
Ø Select products and materials for inspection at specified stages in the production process, test products for dimensions and prepare reports.
Ø Work with production and support departments to solve quality issues and recommend improvements to processes.
Ø Review and approve incoming material through Receiving Inspection for release.
Ø Records inspection results and conformance to acceptance plans.
Ø Generate data for reports as required.
Ø Support problem-solving activities for quality issues.
Ø Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ø High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of quality inspection experience.
Ø Understanding of processes and ability to identify problems.
Ø Must be able to identify/recognize inspection errors and initiate resolution.
Ø Ability to read and interpret blueprints and know basic quality terms, definitions, concepts principles, and practices.
Ø Experience using a variety of measuring instruments. (i.e. micrometer, caliper, gages).
Ø Experience operating inspection and lab equipment.
Ø Must know basic quality statistical terms and techniques.
Ø Must understand types of measurement, measurement terminology, and the different types of measurement scales.
Ø Understanding of basic blueprint reading principles.
Ø Strong math and intermediate reading skills.
Ø Strong leadership abilities and good communication skills.
Ø Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
PREFERRED:
Ø Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, and Word and ability to learn quality programs such as Minitab.
Ø Familiarity with Optical Comparator and CMM equipment
Ø Corrective/Preventative Actions Report experience.
Ø Knowledge of ISO and other related quality system standards.
