Caribe Resort, located in Orange Beach, Alabama, renowned for its luxury accommodations and extensive amenities, is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Manager to join our team. As the Front Desk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by overseeing front desk operations and providing top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage all aspects of the front desk operations, including check-in, check-out procedures, and guest inquiries.
- Supervise front desk staff, handling employee issues and providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and service-oriented atmosphere at the front desk for guests and owners.
- Handle guest/owner concerns, complaints, special requests, conflicts and other issues promptly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs.
- Oversee reservation systems, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Interview, hire, and train new front desk staff on procedures, policies, and customer service standards.
- Ensure that the front desk opens and closes properly and the daily checklist is completed.
- Inventory office supplies, parking passes, and room keys.
- Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of a Director.
- Assist in scheduling front desk staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
-Follow up with any maintenance or housekeeping issues to ensure guest/owner satisfaction, and communicate any issues with Rental Director.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with other departments.
- Coordinate Winter Rentals and ensure accurate pricing on all reservations, as well as coordination of the Winter Rental in-house and outside waiting lists.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a front desk or hospitality management role.
- Previous experience with Streamline software is preferable.
- Proficiency in using phone systems, clerical tasks, order entry systems, and customer support software.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent computer literacy with knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Demonstrated ability in event planning and coordination.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills.
