COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE
CENTRAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
This is a contract position to assist the Director of Communications in communicating the role and mission of Central Presbyterian Church across multiple platforms.
The role will involve building and designing the weekly bulletin, building and creating two weekly e-newsletters and web and social updates. The applicant must also be detail oriented and highly proficient at proofreading, editing, and fact-checking. This is primarily a remote position, but occasional days in the office and Sunday work would be necessary.
Skills desired include:
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with Constant Contact, Planning Center, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Adobe InDesign and/or similar platforms and programs.
- Copyedit, proofread, format and revise communications.
- Familiarity with liturgical and church verbiage and language, especially related to worship.
- Ability to use all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube.)
- Skilled at analytics.
- Recommend, implement and maintain website design and operation.
- Self-starter, motivated individual for a fast paced and creative team environment.
- Preferred skills include, background in church work and/or media work experience.
- Familiarity with AP style.
- Ability to work as a team and attend weekly Zoom planning and staff meetings.
Job Type: Part Time. 8 to 10 hours per week.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
