Job Description: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Summary:
Calpack Foods is a leading food and beverage manufacturer in Southern California. The company has an amazing opportunity for a QA Coordinator whose primary role is to work closely with the operations team who produces the product and sign off on the quality of their work before delivering products to the next step in the supply chain. Perform tasks to identify the cause of quality problems, document them and correct them.
Essential Duties
Daily Tasks:
- Reviewing, correcting, approving purchase orders, and packing orders before production can begin.
- Tasting of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Performing product evaluations to guarantee the quality of the foods packaged at the facility.
- Assisting QA department with quality control process by evaluating the packaged products to ensure that only satisfactory items are being shipped to clients.
- Data entry tasks
- Organizing, storing and maintaining records.
·Weekly Tasks:
- Responsible for ordering sanitation supplies needed for employees.
- Responsible for supplying personnel with personal protective equipment and ensuring that personnel are adhering to safety guidelines.
- Ensuring pest control inspection service is conducted and reporting any discrepancies, issues, concerns, or suggestions for improvement.
- Assisting QA department in completing paperwork for shipping of the products packaged at the facility
Monthly Tasks:
- Conducting monthly internal allergen audits to ensure the facility complies with rules, regulations, and guidelines for organic products.
- Conducting monthly internal organic audits.
- Conducting monthly internal GMP audits.
- Conducting brittle plastic and glass audits.
- Maintaining, revising, creating Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures in accordance with Document Control guidelines to improve the efficiency, safety, and organization of processes within the QA, sanitation, and production departments.
- Responsible for ATP swabbing the equipment used throughout the facility to check for potential signs of allergens in unclean equipment.
- Ensuring that facility certificates such as organic certificates, scale calibration certificates, lab testing certificates, metal detector certificates, specification sheets for products are up to date and valid.
- Conducting investigation reports as required by customers, creating CAPA reports to correct deviations in product quality
Experience:
- Proven experience in quality assurance methodologies and practices.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
- Ability to create and execute test cases effectively.
- Proficiency in debugging software applications.
- Experience with Selenium, TestNG, and other test automation tools.
- Strong scripting skills in PL/SQL, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
