The entry to mid level Safety/CI Specialist is responsible for improving results and driving cost savings by proactively identifying areas for improvement, implements lean initiatives and projects, utilizing lean tools and techniques, analyzing and reporting key metrics, communicating continuous improvement activities, and training team members to accomplish the same.
- Responsible to drive improvement in worksite activities, productivity, and efficiency.
- Provide training and necessary tools to the site personnel and get them involved in the continuous improvement process.
- Work with site leadership to develop future factory vision and roadmap for execution
- Develop and maintain metrics, performance indicators, document and act on the link between lean implementation and operational process improvements
- Identify and coordinate LEAN improvement opportunities, leading to improvements in on-time delivery and efficiencies while reducing costs and inventory
- Contribute to the development and promotion of standard work and production basics across the organization
- Work as part of the management team to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Company
- Identify and understand issues and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions, use effective approaches for choosing a course of action, and take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma tools and SAMs program to complete projects with annual savings and provide technical expertise to support root cause analysis process.
- Proven documentation skills including: to create, develop and execute test plans and ability to create and implement SOP’s.
- Comply with all safety/health/environmental related policies and procedures, participates in company sponsored safety programs and activities, and reports to management those conditions or actions by employees or others that might create a hazard to themselves or others in the plant.

Physical Demands
Ability to work in manufacturing environment and while standing on feet for long hours and in extreme seasonal temperatures at times
Flexibility to support 24 hours /7 days schedule
Hands on physical work while troubleshooting mold issues
Repetitive bending, maneuvering, walking, sitting and lifting up to 50lb
Occasional travel within and outside US may be required
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places. Work in this occupation involves use of protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, a hard hat, etc.
