The Principal Scientist provides technical leadership to the department within the Flow Cytometry modality, strong knowledge guiding project planning and execution, problem solving, representing both client and R&D projects within the company and externally. Writing proposals and/or plans, works independently, consistently and accurately for complex or difficult tasks. Translates projects between departments including R&D and Clinical teams.

Consistently and independently interacts and supports commercial teams in developing and presenting project proposals and statements of work for development, validation and clinical study projects.

Independently designs and executes applications within the modality areas.

Must demonstrate proficiency in all Core Responsibilities of a Senior Scientist.

Consistently and independently performs the more complex level of procedures and projects.

Provides technical leadership, mentors and directs laboratory teams in performing project experiments.

Represents the department in a diverse range of settings, including with other departments, clients, audits, vendors, and conferences.

Provide the leadership on project design and feasibility studies.

Education: Ph.D. in a life, physical or computer science or M.D. preferred; M.S. in a life, physical or computer science with related experience; BS in a life, physical or computer sciences with significant supervisory experience.

Seven (7) or more years relevant Flow Cytometry laboratory or technical experience strongly preferred (validation, FDA experience) required

Advanced knowledge of Flow Cytometry laboratory techniques.

Ability to develop and deliver complex directions and scientific project plans

Detail oriented with ability to capture and record complex scientific data accurately and reliably.

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills and the ability to use software tools to produce high impact presentations of data.

Published evidence from previous research.

Ability to problem solve independently and escalate problems appropriately in a timely manner.
