POSITION TITLE: Virtual Field Reporting Specialist - Full time - temp to hire

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Virtual Field Reporting Specialist is responsible for the timely and professional completion of underwriting phone surveys. The Virtual Field Reporting Specialist will interact with insurance company and agency personnel as well as policyholders to obtain policy related information regarding business operations.
DUTIES: Contacting commercial policyholders via telephone to obtain rating basis information and perform a thorough exposure and control assessment in a telephone interview to gather sufficient information about the business to provide field staff with enough data to complete a field inspection of the property and the business. Candidate will meet productivity, time service and quality goals. Candidate will maintain a professional telephone demeanor and excel in oral and written communication. Candidate will prioritize work based on fluctuating business needs and be pro-active in communication with management. Additional duties as required by business need.

SKILL SET: 1) Highly organized with excellent time management skills 2) Excellent verbal communication and interviewing skills 3) Well developed critical thinking and problem solving skills 4) Familiarity with commercial insurance policies including commercial general liability, business owners policies, tenants and lessors risks, garage liability, commercial auto and workers compensation 5) Proficient with personal computers and standard software including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. 6) At least mid-level keyboarding (30+ wpm) ability
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: 1)Telephone and telephone service (land line or mobile) 2) Fully functional computer with dual monitors 3) High speed internet connection
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must be able to sit and operate a telephone and computer for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours in one session). The candidate must be able to listen and speak English fluently. Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is a plus. Candidate must be able to focus and concentrate for extended periods of time. Candidate must be able to physically operate a telephone and personal computer.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1) Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred 2) Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required 3) Previous premium audit, insurance loss control or safety experience preferred 4) Experience working with commercial insurance policies including general liability, business owners policies, tenants and lessors risks, garage liability, commercial auto and workers compensation preferred.
