Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate / Cashier. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers, handling transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Assist customers in locating products and answering their inquiries
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Stock shelves and replenish merchandise as needed
- Upsell products and promote special offers to customers
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and loss prevention
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Ability to operate a cash register and POS system
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Knowledge of retail math concepts for pricing and discounts is beneficial
- Technical sales knowledge is an advantage
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
