Position: Defense Nuclear Security Field Liaison Officer Support - Full time position
Cogent Security Consulting LLC seeks an energetic, detail-oriented candidate to support the
Office of Defense Nuclear Security (DNS) Field Liaison officers. Candidate must have excellent
communication and interpersonal skills and be able to manage relationships at the
headquarters and field-offices.
Detailed duties and responsibilities will include:
● Supporting federal field liaison officer’s communications, initiatives, and deliverables
● Developing project plans including objectives, methodology, deliverables, schedule, and staffing
● Coordinating project execution with stakeholders
● Communicating status updates and results to federal staff in a clear and concise manner
● Preparing and ensuring quality of final deliverables such as memos, briefings, and reports
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree or sufficient military/professional experience
● Minimum of 5 years professional experience with at least two years interacting with federal
staff
● Exceptional writing, presentation, and meeting facilitation abilities
● Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills
● U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Department of Energy (DOE) “Q” security clearance
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Experience with federal staff at the program office level preferred
Expert in DOE safeguards and security requirements or similar Department of Defense programs
Knowledgeable in DNS governance, communication, and budgeting NAPs
Proficient in DOE, NNSA, and policies, orders, and directives
Active DOE security clearance
Position Location: Client site in Washington, DC
Travel Required: Up to 25% travel required
Salary Range: $115-155K
