Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will not only be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects but will also have a book of business or clientele list. This role includes overseeing other Project Managers, creating project designs, leading project rollout meetings, and overseeing every aspect of jobs.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Utilize software to create accurate estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Conduct thorough research on materials, labor, and equipment costs
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget constraints
- Oversee other Project Managers to ensure project goals are met
- Create and design project plans and blueprints
- Lead project rollout meetings to align teams and stakeholders
- Oversee every aspect of projects from initiation to completion
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Proven experience in Abatement estimating and project management
- A book of business or clientele list
- Proficiency in construction estimating software
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors
- Ability to build accurate estimates based on project requirements
- Understanding of construction contracts and pricing structures
- Strong leadership skills to manage and oversee other Project Managers
