Laboratory Technician
Technology Applications Group, Inc. (TAG) is the acknowledged leader in anodized coatings for magnesium castings. These castings are used in the aerospace, sporting goods, consumer goods, and automotive industries. We are currently seeking a lab technician to help us conduct R&D and quality control testing.
Position Title: Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities:
Lab technicians are responsible for assisting laboratory and production personnel in research, quality control testing, chemical receiving, and general production control tasks, such as chemical adjustments and material racking/ coating as needed.
Most duties are performed on a standard daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedule that must be maintained.
These include:
· Acid/base titrations
· Production bath chemical analysis
· pH calibration and measurements by probe
· Taber abrasion
· Salt spray/ salt fog exposure testing
· Eddy current calibration and measurements
· Water purity testing
Other tasks, such as chemical receiving, production tank replacement, and certain research projects occur on inconsistent schedules according to internal and external needs.
Duties
- Perform quantitative analysis of production standardized solutions.
- Perform test matrixes that characterize the performance of new developed coating application processes.
- Perform physical testing and data interpretation on coating specimens using techniques such as salt fog corrosion and abrasion resistance analysis.
Reports to: Senior Scientist/Lab Manager
Qualifications/Experience:
While experience in chemical techniques is preferred, any and all training will be provided as necessary.
Must be U.S. citizen or U.S. Persons with Active Green Card.
An ideal candidate would be an individual with good organization and communication skills who does not mind the repetitive tasks often associated with laboratory work.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00, dependent on relevant experience.
