Responsibilities:
- Guide students and parents through every stage of the high school journey including, but not limited to, course selection, standardized testing, extracurricular activities and internships, leadership, and community service work
- Provide accurate and timely information to students regarding admissions requirements, programs, and services
- Assist students in the application process and provide guidance on required documentation
- Evaluate student transcripts and academic records for admission eligibility
- Educate students and families on financial aid options and scholarship opportunities
- Collaborate with academic departments to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education Administration or related field
- Previous experience as a High School College Counselor or Independent Educational/College Admissions Counselor
- Familiar with the undergraduate college admissions process in the United States
- Excited about helping middle and high school students and their families navigate the college admissions process, making it as stress-free and rewarding as possible
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for working with students and helping them achieve their educational goals
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
