NDSEC is looking for a Special Education Paraprofessional (Teaching Assistant) to join our team. We are looking for a team member who is passionate about providing high-quality services and care to children.
The ideal candidate will:

- Have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively
- Be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities:
The Paraprofessional will be responsible for providing academic and behavioral support to students in our Special Education Program. The Paraprofessional will assist the classroom teacher in implementing the curriculum and supporting student behavior.
Qualifications: Hold of these licenses issued by ISBE:
- Educator License with Stipulations: Endorsement as Paraprofessional Educator (ELS [Para])
- Short-Term Approval for Paraprofessionals (STA [PARA])
- Substitute Teaching License (SUB)
Salary: Competitive hourly wage (Starting at $16.95/hr to $20/hr depending on level of education and experience)
