Originally the central building at the facility was opened in 1942 as a U.S. Navy plant for the production of submarine radar detection equipment. Following WWII the property was purchased by Radio Corporation of America (RCA) for the manufacture of radio and microwave tubes.
Job Overview:
Burle is currently seeking to add to it's team, an experienced commercial Mechanical Technician with experience in running and maintaining large steam boilers, [changing out Spence pressure reducing valves, steam condensate traps, safety relief valves, etc] Chillers and water towers.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- High school diploma or GED is required, trade/technical school, military, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 3+ years of experience with commercial mechanical equipment and systems
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain various industrial older types of HVAC systems
- Ability to read, understand, and work from schematics, blueprints and cut sheets
- Knowledge in boiler operations, pipe threading, steam pipe repairs and maintenance
- Basic computer skills for tablet and cell phone communication and documentation

The employee-owner is required to sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, squat, crawl; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift equipment, tools, products, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee-owner is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, and confined spaces. The employee-owner is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The employee-owner is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
