SUMMARY
Warehouse Supervisor coordinates organizes, and oversees all day-to-day activities on the first or second shift. The individual will be involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company’s goods. Ultimately ensuring the entire process meets customer, and internal requirements and is completed in an organized, efficient, and safe manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Assign work, set completion dates, review work, and manage performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes.

Supervise employees, quality process, and transportation in accordance with Goodwill Industries of Central Florida (GICF) policies and procedures to obtain optimal quality and profitability in the assigned departments.

Establish an environment of teamwork, employee involvement/empowerment, fairness, and consistency.

Ensure proper staffing by department and shift.
-
Oversee employees’ attendance and time management.
-
Conduct performance reviews, coach and train direct employees.

Monitor and ensure that all facility equipment is working correctly and meeting production standards
-
Support the ongoing development and implementation of the GICF’s Business Plan through timely and accurate fulfillment and operations, while maintaining cost and quality efficiencies

Review productivity, KPI, and quality reports to ensure the department is meeting pre-established targets and take necessary steps when targets are not being met.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Recommend measures to improve production methods, working conditions, and increased efficiencies

Oversee safety activities to include ensuring compliance with Goodwill’s safety policy

Supports the recruitment and interview process of new hires.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

Experience in implementing and applying process improvement tools such as 5s

Demonstrated successful experience in supervising and driving improved production standards.
Education and/or Experience:
-
HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of external supervisory experience
- 2 years’ experience working in a distribution/mail/ or similar environment.

Knowledge of operations quality and safety programs
Math Ability:
Level 2: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has supervisory responsibilities but no subordinate supervisors.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Standing and sitting for long periods.
- Perform work outside and inside; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes and chemicals.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
Language Ability:
Level 3: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Reasoning Ability:
Level 4: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
