These platforms include Salesforce, Google Suite, Fleetio, Samsara, Pandadoc's, Zapier and many others. Experience in these software platforms is imperative to the successful leadership of the Palmetto Team and continued development of our processes to ensure the best possible customer experience.
OVERVIEW: The General Manager is responsible for ensuring successful multi-site operations including sales, service, financial profitability, overall Team development, as well as increasing community relations and Palmetto market share.
Key Task

Enthusiastically embrace the Palmetto Yacht values and mission statement, effectively conveying these to all Team Members through your example.
- Supervisory responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, training and developing team members; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Consult with Human Resources to ensure all requirements are met before taking any employment actions.
- Continually “TopGrade” your team, working with Human Resources to manage any necessary changes.
- Assist staff with the sales / logistics effort, including explaining features, demonstrating operation of boats and equipment, suggesting optional services, etc. to customers and prospects.
- Collaborate, as needed, with the President to avoid any costly logistical or mechanical challenges.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns and explore ways to better serve our customers. Once resolved ensure processes are modified in order to avoid a repeated complaint.
- Analyze operating and administrative procedures for all departments in an effort to assess and increase efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
- Work with maintenance manager and administrative teams to manage inventory.
- Participate in the professional development of your team via leadership and appropriate training programs; implementing relevant training programs for all appropriate Team Members. Utilizing the IDP (Individual Development Plan), and other resources available through the HR Department.
- Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy making as required.
- Coordinate, execute and attend boat shows and other off-site promotional opportunities.
- Oversee facility management and all compliance issues with local, state and national regulatory agencies i.e. OSHA, EPA.

- 8-10 years of operations experience in the marine or logistics industry.
- Absolutely Proficient with Technology, utilizing multiple platforms and applications, preferably MacOS, Google Suite, Fleetio, Samsara, Salesforce, Zapier, PandaDocs.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
- Excellent leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strategic planning skills to develop long-term business plans and goals.
- Project management expertise to successfully execute initiatives on time and within budget.
- Proven ability in business development, including identifying new opportunities and cultivating relationships with clients.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
